Having grown up in the woods of northeastern Pennsylvania, I spent many summers immersed in my natural surroundings. Inspired by this experience, I obtained a bachelor's degree in environmental science with a minor in studio art from Juniata College. During the most exciting and rewarding four years of my life, nearly every one of my experiences involved scientific research, the visual arts, or a combination.
Recently graduated from the science illustration program at U.C. Extension Santa Cruz, I am uniting my passions in science and art in hopes of using them to spread scientific knowledge. My work-related travels have included Yosemite National Park, CA; Homer, AK; and Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica.
When I'm not drawing or roaming, I like to snowboard, blog, and dig through boxes of dusty things at yard sales.
